The brief

To create & deliver a completely free, mobile-first experience, that primarily helps USA teenagers, explore jobs based on their personalities and discover what they’re passionate about.

Alliants were responsible for the data strategy, acquisition, management, integration, processing, machine learning and on-going support & maintenance.

Our solution

Beginning with 11 personality questions, delivered in an engaging gamification style, a user is presented with a vocation best suited to them. Going further in the application, they can explore, save and share real life examples of possible jobs and careers.

Underpinned by rich & relevant data sources, they are provided with a description, typical education route, necessary certifications, pay range, related jobs, YouTube videos, online news, articles, blogs and more.

Alliants also delivered machine learning features to, for example, recommend alternative personalised vocations, based on real-time insights, which are continuously optimised.

According to ASA, for the first time, students can explore thousands of education and career paths on their own terms.

  • 6.9 million videos, articles and gifs extracted & then filtered into 290,000 candidates for processing.
  • 1,400 new pieces of content extracted daily and over 7,900 went live for users to access.
