Please take a moment to read these terms before registering with the Trace19 service provided by Alliants Limited. These terms are an agreement between you and Alliants Limited and it is important that you understand this agreement. Registering for and/or using the Service constitutes acceptance of these terms.

1. Overview

Welcome to the Trace19 service provided by Alliants Limited ("Alliants").

Use of and access to the Alliants Trace19 service, including any rebranded or white label version of the Alliants Trace19 service, (the "Service") are subject to these terms and conditions of use (the "Terms")

Alliants (“We” or “Us” or “the Company”) reserves the right to change these Terms from time to time. Any updates to these Terms shall be posted on You (the “User”) acknowledge your responsibility to review these Terms from time to time and to be aware of any such changes. By continuing to use the Service after we post any such changes, you accept these Terms, as modified.

The Service is intended to support owners and managers of small businesses in the hospitality and leisure industry in their obligations to meet the guidelines and standards as laid out from time to time by the UK Government with respect to collecting the “track and trace” data of their customers.

The Service will:

  • Allow the User’s customers to scan a QR code on, at, or near the entrance of the User’s  establishment, using a mobile phone.
  • The QR code will create a pre-populated SMS message
  • The customer will be informed at this point that the SMS message will incur a charge, how much that charge will be, and how that charge will be distributed.
  • The customer is under no obligation to submit the SMS message.
  • The customer is under no obligation to provide you with track and trace information.
  • If the customer does submit the SMS message, the customer’s mobile telephone number and the date and time of submission will be stored for the time required by the NHS (currently 21 days).
  • Alliants will supply you with a username and password by which you will be able to log in to a web-based interface.
  • This web-based interface will allow you to search for and return all the mobile telephone numbers which submitted an SMS message within a specific date range.
  • This web based interface must only be accessed if you are contacted by the NHS and asked to provide information related to Track & Trace and Test & Trace.  Any other use of the Service is prohibited.

2. The Service

The Service consists of any, or a combination of:

  • A link which will provide a unique, printable QR code and instructions and information for the customer
  • The QR code, which, when scanned by a customer with a mobile phone, will allow your customer to send a pre-populated, timestamped SMS message.
  • A secure online repository of SMS messages for the purposes of time bound storage.
  • A password protected, web-based interface by which to access the SMS message repository.

You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all computer hardware, software, and communications equipment needed to access the Service, and for paying all access charges e.g., a personal computer or laptop, ISP, etc.

Alliants is not responsible for the final delivery of any communication initiated through the Service as this is out of our control and is the responsibility of downstream communications carriers.

3. Usage Policy

You accept that the Service is provided solely for the purposes of supporting the NHS Track & Trace and NHS Test & Trace programs, and you agree that your use of the Service will be strictly limited accordingly - for example you must only access the Trace19 web-based interface (the Service) at the specific request of an employee of the NHS and then only in relation to the NHS Track & Trace and the NHS Test & Trace initiatives.  Also, that this agreement expressly excludes accessing the Service and/or sharing the information therein for any purpose other than that described in this agreement.

You accept that Alliants may monitor and/or record any and all logins, access to, and activity within, the Service and that Alliants reserves the right to take any action which we believe, at our sole discretion, to be necessary.  Should there be any activity which we believe to be suspicious or outside the terms or spirit of this agreement, we reserve the right to take any steps we deem necessary, including but not limited to, cancelling the Service without any notice and/or reporting any suspicious activity to the NHS or any other authority.
